Here are selected branding and communications projects across the voluntary, community, social enterprise, and education sectors:

Maokwo - Lead Brand Design & Communications Strategy | 2019 – 2022
Maokwo is a social enterprise supporting refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers through creativity, inclusion, and community-building.
I led the development of a founder-led brand and communications strategy to support organisational sustainability and cohesion. This included shaping the visual identity, messaging, and a strong Instagram presence that balanced sensitivity with celebration of creativity and culture.
The work focused on building trust, fostering belonging, and creating consistent communications to support engagement, events, and long-term growth.
Relevant to CRASAC: Developed trauma-informed communications for refugees and asylum seekers, prioritising dignity, anonymity, and trust while building community engagement through sensitive storytelling.
-

Community Joined-Up Development - Brand Design & Marketing Lead
Community Joined-Up Development is a collaborative partnership bringing together community expertise to deliver facilitated community development and research-informed insight.
I co-developed a values-led brand through a co-design process, ensuring the visual language reflected collaboration, trust, and socially conscious practice. The brand was designed to resonate with funders and partners including Power to Change, Social Enterprise Academy (SSE), DENS Homeless Charity, local authorities, and WMCA.
My role includes developing communications plans, event formats, and sign-up processes to support complex, multi-partner projects, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with community-led values.
Relevant to CRASAC: Co-designed values-based communications for multi-partner community projects, supporting ethical engagement with funders, local authorities, and grassroots organisations.
-

Golden Years Coaching - Brand Development & Marketing Strategy
Golden Years Coaching is a wellbeing-focused coaching brand supporting people over 50 through life transitions, confidence-building, and purposeful living.
I developed the brand identity and marketing strategy to be calm, clear, and reassuring, prioritising accessibility, trust, and emotional connection. This included visual identity, tone of voice, and messaging designed to reduce overwhelm and build confidence.
The brand supports meaningful engagement with a demographic often underserved by mainstream wellbeing marketing, positioning the offer as approachable, credible, and values-led.
Relevant to CRASAC: Created accessible, trust-led wellbeing branding for an underserved audience, demonstrating clarity, empathy, and inclusive communication design.
-

Evolve Programme - Brand Designer & Marketing Manager | 2016 – 2020
Evolve was a Coventry University social enterprise spin-out delivering business education and support for students, staff, and external social organisations.
I created the brand from the ground up, developing a clean, versatile visual identity able to flex across industries while remaining inclusive and accessible. I led marketing activity including mailing list development, newsletter campaigns, a strong Facebook presence, and a dynamic events calendar.
The communications approach prioritised clarity, approachability, and human connection, driving strong engagement and participation across the university and wider social enterprise ecosystem.
Relevant to CRASAC: Built and delivered inclusive marketing campaigns within a university social enterprise, increasing engagement through approachable, human-centred communications and events.
-

Launch Programme - Brand Adviser & Marketing Lead | 2019-2020
Launch was an umbrella enterprise support programme developed as an evolution of the Evolve offer within Coventry University Social Enterprise.
I acted as brand adviser and marketing lead, overseeing the transition to a more ambitious and expansive programme identity. While the visual branding was delivered by an external agency, I led project direction to ensure continuity of tone, accessibility, and alignment with Evolve’s foundations.
The resulting brand reflected growth and confidence while maintaining inclusivity, incorporated UN Sustainable Development Goals, and secured significant institutional investment from Coventry University, demonstrating scalability and strategic value.
Relevant to CRASAC: Led strategic brand transition for a scaled enterprise support programme, supporting credibility, growth, and institutional investment through clear, consistent messaging.

Skyfarer - Lead Brand Design & Marketing Adviser | 2021
Skyfarer is a technology-led organisation exploring altruistic approaches to aerial logistics, including drone-based transportation for medical, environmental, and emergency services.
I co-designed a values-driven brand identity and communications approach that balanced innovation with authority and trust. The branding needed to speak credibly to stakeholders such as the NHS, West Midlands Police, the Environment Agency, and Fire Services.
The resulting identity communicated purpose, safety, and social value, supporting engagement with public-sector and emergency-service partners.
