Create Flow: A Calm, Creative Reset Session | Support a Vital Cause

Relax, create, and unwind in a calm creative space

De-stress, reset, and reconnect through gentle, guided creativity

Life is loud.
Our minds get crowded.
And many of us move from one demand to the next without ever pausing long enough to breathe, reset, or reconnect with ourselves.

Create Flow is your pause.

A gentle, pressure-free creative space where you can slow down, switch off, and feel lighter, even if you don’t see yourself as “creative.”

No experience needed.
No expectations.
Just space to be.

  • Because you deserve a moment that’s just for you.

Because slowing down shouldn’t feel like a luxury.

Because creativity can restore more than you expect.

And because your presence helps support others too.

Create Flow exists to offer a calm, nourishing reset — a way to decompress, reconnect, and gently come back to yourself.

Every session also supports CRASAC (Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre), with all net profits donated to their essential work in the community.

By taking care of yourself, you’re also helping others.

  • Engaging mindfully with creative activities activates parts of the brain that support insight, clarity, and resilience. Using painting, photography, collaging, journalling, and neuroscience-informed guidance, we create safe, intentional spaces for reflection, self-discovery, and practical wellbeing strategies.

  • Create Flow sessions are calm, lightly guided, and unhurried.

You’ll be invited to explore simple creative materials such as paint, collage, mark-making, and journalling in a relaxed, supportive space.

There is no right way to take part — you can follow prompts, work quietly, pause when you need to, or simply be present.

The intention is not to create something perfect, but to slow down enough to reconnect with yourself through the process.

We close with an optional group reflection, offering space to share what you noticed or experienced. Many people find this grounding and connecting.

These sessions are not therapy, but they are held with care, respect, and a focus on wellbeing throughout.

  • Create Flow is for anyone — women, men, young people, older people — who wants:

    • Relief from stress, burnout, or mental overload

    • A gentle way to unwind after a busy week

    • Time without pressure, performance, or expectation

    • A non-drinking social experience that feels genuinely good

    • A creative spark without needing to be “creative”

    • A pause, a reset, or a moment of quiet

If life feels full, this is space to empty out gently.

“Really friendly group, interesting, informative, fun, inspiring, radically different (in a good way!)”

— Jacquine (Particpant)

“Do it! You don’t need to be creative. It’s playing, exploring, and definitely worth it.”

— Michelle (Participant)

“It’s cathartic. You’ll get out what you put in — and you’ll make new friends.”

— Trevor (Partcipant)

What you’ll leave with

  • Your own frameable abstract artwork

  • Simple creative techniques to support your wellbeing

  • A calmer mind and lighter body

  • A sense of reset heading into the week ahead

  • A quiet reconnection to yourself

  • And often something less tangible — but just as important: space inside yourself again.

What artwork to expect.

What people create in Create Flow sessions varies widely — often abstract, intuitive, and deeply personal.

From expressive mark-making and layered painting to collage and reflective journalling, each piece emerges in its own way, in its own time.

There is no expected outcome, and nothing to replicate — only a space for your own expression to unfold.

If you would like to see examples of the artwork that has been created, you can head here for a previous years exhibtion: https://thedpa.uk/blog/the-tin-exhibition

I have also facilitated a project with Avanti West Coast on display at Coventry Train Station; you can find more information here: https://thedpa.uk/blog/artist-on-my-street-connections-exhibition

Meet your instructors.

Donna Jones

Her approach blends creativity, wellbeing, and gentle, neuroscience-informed practices — making the experience accessible whether or not you see yourself as creative.

Her sessions are gently guided, focused on presence over performance.

Giving back.

All profits from Create Flow sessions are donated to CRASAC (Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre), supporting their vital work in the local community.

Sessions also support Breathing Space Coventry, helping sustain this calm, charitable venue as a place for reflection and wellbeing.

At the end of each session, the total amount raised will be shared — so you can see the direct impact of your participation.

By booking, you are contributing to both personal wellbeing and wider community care.

About the venue.

Create Flow sessions take place at Breathing Space, Allesley Village — a calm, welcoming environment designed for reflection, creativity, and gentle wellbeing.

With light-filled rooms, quiet corners, and a peaceful garden, it offers the ideal setting to slow down and reset.

Different spaces, different needs.

To support different ways of unwinding, you can choose between:

  • A creative space with soft background music

  • A quiet room for calm reflection or focused making

  • Outdoor garden space for painting (weather permitting)

You’re free to move between spaces or stay where you feel most comfortable.

  • Refer a Friend & Win a Creative Reset Bundle

Know someone who might benefit from a Create Flow session?

When you share the event and they book a place, both of you will be entered into a Creative Flow Bundle prize draw at the end of the session.

    How it works:

    • Share the event link with a friend

    • When they book, they enter your name at checkout

    • Both names are added to the prize draw

    • Each referral = additional entry

    The Creative Flow Bundle includes:

    • Art materials and creative tools

    • Mini creative prompts and inspiration cards

    • Creative tasters to continue at home

    • Small Dynamic Potential Academy extras

A simple, thoughtful way to keep your creative reset going beyond the session.

  • Create Flow is primarily designed as an adult creative wellbeing space. However, we welcome students and young people aged 12–16 who feel they would benefit from attending.

All students must bring valid student ID to the session.

Young people under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian, and both must have a booked ticket for the session.

The space is calm, lightly guided, and reflective, so we ask that all younger attendees are comfortable engaging quietly and respectfully within a shared group environment.

If you’re unsure whether the session is suitable, you’re very welcome to get in touch before booking: donna@thedpa.uk
